meat or copra. It is hammer-milled to small granules and mechanically pressed to
extract the coconut oil. The product after extracting the coconut oil from copra is
called Crude Coconut Oil. Copra contains about 65% to 72% oil, and oil made from
the copra is called Crude coconut oil. Crude coconut oil is processed from copra
by expeller press. It is not considered fit for human consumption until it has been
refined. Coconut oil accounts for approximately 20% of all vegetable oils used
worldwide. Coconut oil is used in margarines, vegetable shortening, salad oils,
confections, and is also used in the manufacture of soaps, detergents, shampoos,
cosmetics, candles, glycerin and synthetic rubber. Coconut oil is very healthy.
Organic Certified Coconut Flour - is made from fresh organic coconut meat. The
meat is dried and defatted and then finely ground into a powder very similar in
consistency to wheat flour. Coconut flour is high in dietary fiber and protein, and is
gluten-free. It has more fiber than gluten-based grains. It can be added to standard
wheat-based recipes to add extra fiber, by substituting 10-20% of the grain-based
flour with coconut flour. Since it contains natural sugar from the coconut meat,
